August 2025 Nature Calendar

Happy August! We have a new month of ideas to inspire you to get outdoors and explore nature.  

Some of this month's themes include: 

• Seed saving
• Wildflower mapping, pressing, and using a field guide. 
• Sketching the details of a spider web

   

Supplies needed:

• Magnifying glass
• A nature journal (any journal with blank paper would work)
• A pencil or other suitable drawing tool. I use a black felt-tip pen for nature journaling. 
• Heavy books and wax paper for wildflower pressing
• Watercolors, colored pencils, crayons, or whatever you would like to use to create artwork in your nature journal.
