This month, there are suggestions for owl pellet dissection, filtering snow with a coffee filter, catching snowflakes, and learning about hibernation. In the winter, I include more activities that can be completed indoors on cold weather days.
Supply list:
- Nature journal
- Colored pencils, watercolor paints, and a pencil for sketching
- Warm clothes
- Owl pellet kit (can be purchased on Amazon)
- Coffee filter
- Marshmallows and toothpicks to build a model snowflake
- A Dark piece of fabric to catch snowflakes for observation.
